Neshama Carlebach is one of the leading performers in Jewish music today, with a distinctive voice and vision. She also has what we call in Yidish “yichus,” a heritage of significance, in that her father is the esteemed, belated Rabbi Shlomo Carlebach. Neshama’s new album, Higher and Higher, was recorded with a gospel choir, proving again the universality of her music’s sources and themes.

On August 13, 2006, Neshama recorded a song for the Israeli Soldiers, called “Tfilla Shel Ima” (“A Mother’s Prayer”) with lyrics written by the brilliant Chamutal Ben Ze-ev.
She sings this duet with Maytal Trabelsy, with music by David Morgan, Gilad, Tzur Ben-Zeev and several awesome Israeli musicians.
It's already being played on Israeli Radio- click here to hear the song.
