Description of Neshama's Gigs
Shabbat/Jewish Holidays:
Join Neshama for an a Capella Kabbalat Shabbat service, filled with uplifting Carlebach melodies. Over Shabbat Neshama will speak on various topics (see list below), often in collaboration with the Rabbi and/or Hazzan, sing at services, lead Havdallah and inspire your Congregation to feel a deeper connection to Shabbat. Your community will have the special opportunity to interact with Neshama on a personal level.
Neshama is also an incredible addition to Jewish Holidays. She joins the Clergy in leading Holiday services such as Selichot and Eicha and will elevate the traditional learning on Shavuot with Storytelling and Song.
Scholar in Residence/Workshops
Neshama offers soulful and inspiring lectures and workshops. Interweaving uplifting Carlebach music with Chasidic stories and teachings, these classes are not to be missed! The opportunity for people to interact on a personal level with Neshama and hear reflections about her father, Rabbi Shlomo Carlebach, is a life changing experience. Her ability to combine the magical elements of music and teaching creates a meaningful environment where the soul of Judaism is accessible and relevant. Private Parties
Imagine a candlelit room filled with your most beloved friends. Sweet treats, warm conversation, singing, dancing, laughter and tears. Neshama and her musicians will speak to your hearts with songs and stories, creating an event you will never forget. Neshama sings in private homes and larger venues in honor of all special occasions- birthday and engagement parties, wedding ceremonies, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, Bris/Simchat Bat and Holiday celebrations, even on those evenings where there's really no special reason at all beyond coming together. There is no audience too big or too small. These shows are often Neshama's most favorite, she values the chance to literally come into a home and connect with people.

Backed by her band of incredible musicians who have played with the likes of Ray Charles, Barbara Streisand and Stevie Wonder, Neshama will create a fabulous night of spirituality and fantastic music. The concert consists of Carlebach classics you will recognize and sing along with, and new original music that will fill your head for days afterward. Neshama speaks about things that are meaningful to her, explains the deeper translations of the songs in Hebrew- the music and message always transcend the language barrier. People of all backgrounds will feel included and will come away transformed. Neshama's poignant ballads are mixed with uplifting music. Audiences worldwide will sing, dance and open their hearts.
Neshama, Full Band and The Green Pastures Baptist Church Choir
Neshama's collaboration with Rev Roger Hambrick and the Green Pasture Baptist Church Choir has taken Neshama's shows to a whole new level. The material is Shlomo Carlebach's, the musicianship is excellent, the combination of voices will inspire beyond description. There is the feeling that heaven and earth somehow unite at these events, that every person in the room is levitating. This bridge building event is meant to bring people of all faiths, backgrounds and perspectives together. Communities worldwide are embracing this unique opportunity to open their doors to all neighbors and create new relationships. The magical, hypnotizing songs will be forever in your ears and heart, the coming together of worlds will inspire your audience to give all people a chance. Neshama and the Green Pastures Baptist Church Choir were mentioned 6 times in the entrant level of the 2011 Grammy awards, a major acknowledgment for a show that is both entertaining and life changing. Neshama and Reverend Hambrick also lead workshops and musical seminars about their relationship and about the messages of faith and love that should exist between all religions and people.
